The centenary congress, to be held in Cape Town in September 2024, will form part of the celebrations to commemorate the 100 years of existence of physiotherapy as a profession in South Africa but also that of the South African Society of PhysiotherapyTM (SASP®).
To add to the excitement, the SASP® will also host the next World Physiotherapy – Africa Region Congress ensuring an international and African flair to the event.
Although the majority of the programme will relate to physiotherapy, it is also envisaged to include multidisciplinary and rehabilitation content on Saturday 14 September, followed by physiotherapy content again on Sunday 15 September.
Interesting topics for discussion as Indaba and Debate sessions are part of the planning. Topics to be discussed will include Strengthening rehabilitation in Africa, Innovation in rehabilitation, Reframing care for people with musculoskeletal pain, Research in children with disabilities, Translating research into practice in Africa.
