Prof. Charles Sebiyo Batcho, PT, PhD is associate professor in the Rehabilitation Department, Faculty of Medicine at Université Laval (Canada), and researcher at Centre for interdisciplinary research in rehabilitation and social integration (Canada). His main areas of research are development and assessment of cost-effective rehabilitation interventions, using wearable and immersive technology. He is also interested in the development and validation of outcome measures, as well as the development of interventions related to physical activity and the evaluation of their contribution towards functional autonomy, social participation, and quality of life of people with chronic health conditions.

As for the upcoming World Physiotherapy Africa Region Congress (Cape Town, 2024), he will contribute to build a scientific programme that reflects the needs and achievements from different sub-regions of the Africa physiotherapy community.
