GEOCONGRESS GOES HYBRID - LIMITED SEATS
The LOC have decided to offer a hybrid component to the congress for delegates who are unable to travel to Cape Town. Our Congress remains predominantly an in-person event with most of presentations planned for in-person speakers and delegate attendance. This will be in an informal format of livestreaming to TEAMS or Zoom and not video'd to a platform.
We are offering a limited amount of virtual attendance opportunities for delegates who would like to attend the GeoCongress who are unable to travel due to funding or logistics. Please book early to avoid disappointment as these places are limited and will be on a first come first served basis. Both online and in-person delegates will be issued with a certificate of attendance which can be used to help build your academic CV.

**Please note, you will be required to upload your student card or letter from their Departmental Head confirming student status.
**Students include individuals registered as full time or part time in BSc, BSc Hons, MSc,and PhD programs at an accredited university. Post Doctoral appointees or temporary staff are not considered to be employees and not students.
The following is included in the delegate registration fee:
- Delegate pack
- Conference programme (digital and on the app)
- The Welcome Cocktail Reception
- Attendance to all plenary sessions. (Due to space restrictions we will be livestreaming into an overflow venue on the first floor)
- Tea/coffee (Lunch is for your own account and own arrangements at nearby restaurants)
PAYMENT TERMS
All fees are payable in South African Rand (ZAR) within seven (7) days of invoice. Any short payment resulting from bank charges and/or exchange rate fluctuations will be charged to the participant.
CANCELLATIONS:
- Cancellations received in writing by 1 December 2022 will receive a full refund on registration fees less a 15% administration fee.
- Cancellations received in writing between 2 - 15 December 2022 will receive a 50% refund on registration fees less a 15% administration fee.
- Cancellations received in writing after 15 December 2022 will result in full fees payment being due.
- We recommend transfer of registration to a new delegate to avoid cancellation fee. In the event of a cancellation, registrations are transferable to delegates not yet registered.
