Ajediran Idowu, BELLO is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic/Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, and Coordinator of Graduate Programmes in the Department of Physiotherapy, University of Ghana. He is a Researcher and Clinical Educator with vast experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of high quality academic and rehabilitation programmes. He is a member of many statutory committees and boards at the University of Ghana as well as an External Reviewer and Academic Assessor for other universities in Ghana and in South Africa.
Professor Bello’s quest for the generation of data in support of best strategy for restoring optimal body function have yielded academic and societal values in Ghana and West Africa sub-Region. His research interest entails modification of physical modalities (including the use of technology) in the remediation of impairments within the purview of physiotherapy practice. He is a Research Fellow of the Stroke and Cardiovascular Research Training under the auspices of the Fogarty International Center, National Institutes of Health, and a Foundation Fellow of the Postgraduate Physiotherapy College of Nigeria.
He has also contributed to the national and international professional bodies in diverse ways such as chairman of scientific sub-committees, training workshop sessions, poster walk, as well as mentor for World Physiotherapy abstracts including Editor for NEWSLetter for World Physiotherapy Africa Congress. He has served as a member of National Council of Ghana Physiotherapy Association, Ghana Association of Writers, and International Association of Ethics Education. Prof Bello is a Registrant with Allied Health Professions Council-Ghana.
