Why we ask for your consent

We are committed to protecting the privacy of the personal data you provide when registering for this event. The information below explains how we use your personal data, who it may be shared with, how long it is retained, and your rights under applicable data protection legislation.

Why we process your personal data

We collect and process your personal data to administer your participation in the event. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Processing your registration and abstract submission;

  • Issuing invoices and processing payments;

  • Communicating important event information and updates;

  • Managing accommodation, social functions, and other event services where applicable;

  • Providing attendance records and certificates.

If you do not provide your consent, we will be unable to process your registration or abstract submission, issue invoices, or communicate with you regarding the event. As a result, you will not be able to participate in the congress.

Third parties with access to your data

Your personal data may be shared with trusted third parties where necessary to administer your participation, including:

  • Convention bureaus (for registration verification)

  • PayPal (authorised payment provider)

  • Tranzila (authorised payment provider)

  • Paragon Global

  • Other event suppliers where necessary to deliver congress services

All third parties are required to process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

How long we store your personal data

We will retain your personal data for up to 12 months after the conclusion of the event, unless a longer retention period is required by law for financial, accounting, or regulatory purposes.

Your rights

1. Right of access

You may request information about the personal data we hold about you at any time by contacting us at congress@cppcongress.com.

2. Right to withdraw consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time.

Please note that if you withdraw your consent before or during the event, we will no longer be able to process your registration, abstract submission, invoices, or communicate with you regarding the congress. Your registration will therefore be cancelled, and any applicable cancellation fees outlined in the Registration Terms & Conditions may apply.

3. Right to erasure (Right to be forgotten)

You may request that your personal data be erased or anonymised.

Where you have attended the event or completed financial transactions, we may be legally required to retain certain financial, tax, or attendance records. In such cases, personal identifiers will be removed where possible, and any retained information will be limited to that required by law.
