In 2003, she was honored with the Governors Community Service Award for her project on Home Mechanical Ventilation for Children in Thailand. Her leadership as the President of the Sleep Society of Thailand led to the organization winning the Distinguished Activity Award from the World Sleep Society in 2019. She has also been recognized with several teaching awards in Thailand and was recently invited as a lecturer of the World Sleep Academy.
She has written book chapters and research manuscripts, been a reviewer of a number of journals, and given talks at international meetings. Her topics mainly focus on obstructive sleep apnea, home mechanical ventilation, and respiratory care.

Understanding the Clinical Presentation and Principles of Respiratory Management of Children with Neuromuscular Respiratory Failure: Exploring the Differences Between ICU and Home Ventilation
9:30 AM - 10:15 AMBiography
Dr. Be'eri is the Deputy Director General of Alyn Hospital and the Director of its Department of Respiratory Rehabilitation, a 19-bed facility for weaning and rehabilitation of ventilator-dependent children. The department is the only one of its kind in the Middle-East, serves as a referral center for intensive care units around the country, and initiates ongoing home-ventilation care for approximately 70 children a year. Dr. Be'eri trained at Hadassah Hospital in Israel and Boston Children's Hospital in the USA. His clinical and research interests focus on long-term home ventilation and non-invasive ventilation techniques for children with neuromuscular respiratory failure.
